Lead Sales Engineer /Director of Application Engineering

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a team deploying automation solutions within customer applications
  • Balance customer needs with resource constraints in a rapidly growing company 
  • Define and develop processes, systems and tools for team efficiency and continuous improvement  
  • Robotic system setup and operation using a variety of software tools and applications  
  • Customer technical support, training and documentation  
  • Automation & robotic system validation, testing & optimization  
  • Caring and responsive towards customers and coworkers 

Qualifications: 

Minimum requirements: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in application engineering or technical sales engineering 
  • Proven ability to establish, lead and motivate a cohesive team  
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, verbal and written 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and process management skills 
  • Experience with pre-sales & post-sales technical support 
  • Strong background in computer systems and software applications 
  • Experience with automation, robotics and sensors 
  • 4-year technical degree or equivalent experience/education 

Preference for: 

  • Kindness and desire focus on the workflow of front-line workers (janitorial staff, factory workers, retail staff) 
  • Passionate about user experience and customer satisfaction 
  • Humor and patience  
  • Experienced with hands-on system integration and assembly work 
  • Active or previous DOE or DOD clearance
